Elyssa Katz is the Director of Communication and Content Development for Heart of Hospice and has been with the company since 2018. Elyssa earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Davidson College before joining the Heart of Hospice family as the Director of Special Projects and subsequently moving into her present role. She also currently serves as the Executive Director of the Heart of Hospice Foundation, our 501(c)(3) non-profit sister organization.
Elyssa is a Certified End-of-Life Doula from the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at the University of Vermont and a member of the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance. She considers herself a hospice and palliative care advocate who believes in person-centered care that meets patients and families where they are. She seeks to introduce discussions of hospice earlier in the continuum of care, empowering patients to make their own choices throughout their healthcare journeys.
